According to Rajiv Mehta, who serves as vice president of Search and Conversational Shopping at Amazon, the new function mimics having helpful friends discuss potential purchases, making the shopping experience more convenient and accessible. However, Amazon has announced plans to expand its availability to more U.S. customers and increase the number of products featuring this capability in the coming months.
