Two experienced professionals from Seattle’s technology and education sectors have introduced a new digital platform aimed at helping entrepreneurs navigate the challenging early stages of building a company.
Dave Parker, a veteran of the Seattle startup ecosystem, has partnered with business strategist and educator Kathy Cox to create Trajectory Playbook, which was unveiled on Tuesday. The platform offers a structured educational framework designed to guide startup founders from their initial concept through to achieving product-market fit.
The new offering transforms the content from Parker’s 2021
publication, “Trajectory: Startup — Ideation to Product/Market Fit,” into a digital format enhanced with artificial intelligence
capabilities and networking opportunities within a community setting. The curriculum consists of ten modules that prioritize helping entrepreneurs validate their market opportunities and understand their customers before diving into operational elements such as generating revenue, managing finances, and securing investment capital.
Parker brings extensive experience to the venture, having held numerous chief executive and board member roles throughout his career. His involvement includes serving as the startup programs chair at the Washington Technology Industry Association. Additionally, he contributed as a mentor at the Techstars startup accelerator for close to eleven years and previously held the position of director at The Founder Institute.
Cox contributes her expertise as a business strategist and marketing expert who dedicated twelve years to City University of Seattle. She currently develops courses and teaches at the University of
Washington, while also serving as a doctoral-level instructor focusing on innovation and strategy at Capella University.
According to Cox, the platform’s purpose centers on helping
entrepreneurs advance more quickly toward their goals. She emphasized that the program equips business founders with essential resources, organizational frameworks, and community support necessary to transition from conceptual ideas to actionable execution with both clarity and assurance.
The comprehensive Trajectory Playbook program carries a price tag of $1,900, which provides access to all educational modules along with evaluations of action items and opportunities for discussions with peers and industry experts. Members of the Washington Technology Industry Association can take advantage of reduced pricing.
The platform represents a modernized approach to entrepreneurial education, combining traditional business development principles with contemporary technological tools. By offering a systematic progression through the critical early phases of company formation, the program addresses a common challenge faced by many startup founders: the uncertainty and complexity of moving from an idea to a viable business model.
The integration of AI technology into the platform reflects current trends in educational delivery, while the community networking component acknowledges the importance of peer learning and support in the entrepreneurial journey. This combination of structured
curriculum, technology enhancement, and community engagement positions Trajectory Playbook as a comprehensive resource for aspiring business founders.
Parker’s background as both a practitioner and mentor in the startup world, combined with Cox’s academic and strategic expertise, provides the platform with a foundation built on both practical experience and educational theory. Their collaboration brings together insights from successful company building with proven pedagogical approaches to learning and skill development.
The launch of Trajectory Playbook adds to the ecosystem of resources available to Pacific Northwest entrepreneurs, offering a structured alternative or complement to traditional accelerator programs and mentorship arrangements. By focusing specifically on the journey from ideation to product-market fit, the platform addresses what many consider the most critical and challenging phase of startup
development.
