Brex Expands Seattle Tech Presence with New Office, Plans to Double Workforce
Brex’s presence in the Seattle tech scene has expanded with the opening of its new office at Metropolitan Park West Tower. This strategic move aligns with the company’s ambitious growth plans, which include doubling its Seattle workforce within the upcoming year.
Brex currently employs approximately 60 individuals in Seattle, a number that is poised to increase significantly. The company’s primary focus is the provision of corporate credit cards and spending management solutions, which has contributed to its valuation exceeding $12 billion in 2022.
Despite experiencing setbacks earlier this year, including the layoff of 20% of its workforce and the departure of two key executives, Brex remains committed to its expansion in Seattle. This commitment is further exemplified by the fact that both President Karandeep Anand and CTO James Reggio reside in the Seattle region.
Brex’s presence in Seattle reinforces the city’s growing reputation as a hub for satellite engineering offices. A notable roster of companies have established such offices in the area, recognizing the region’s robust tech talent pool and thriving innovation ecosystem.
