The annual GeekWire Gala, Seattle’s premier tech community holiday celebration, is set to welcome more than 600 attendees tonight at the Showbox SoDo. The popular Geekaroke sessions will begin at 8 p.m. in the Lollipop Lounge, with festivities continuing until 10 p.m.

In partnership with Greater Seattle Partners, the Gala will recognize this year’s “Uncommon Thinkers,” celebrating innovative individuals making significant impacts across various sectors. The 2024 honorees include protein design researcher Ingrid Swanson Pultz, fusion energy expert Uri Shumlak, Stoke Space CEO Andy Lapsa, TerraPower Isotopes’ Chris Dunckley, and AI researcher Hannaneh Hajishirzi.
Regarding attire, the event embraces Seattle’s diverse fashion sense, welcoming everything from formal cocktail wear to casual tech-industry staples. Attendees are encouraged to showcase their most creative festive fashion choices, continuing a tradition documented in photos from previous years’ celebrations.
