A Seattle-based financial technology company, Osyte, has secured $4 million in seed funding to expand its portfolio management software platform. The company specializes in developing tools that help investment professionals streamline their operations across multiple asset classes.

The startup’s technology addresses key challenges in portfolio management by providing automated solutions for monitoring
investments, analyzing risks, and optimizing portfolio rebalancing. Their platform is particularly focused on serving outsourced chief investment officers, family offices, and institutional limited partners who manage diverse investment portfolios spanning both public and private markets.

The company was founded by Charles Anselm, who brings significant industry experience from his previous role at Russell Investments, where he served as a senior portfolio manager managing billions in institutional capital. During his decade-long tenure, Anselm observed inefficiencies in investment allocation processes, which inspired him to develop more efficient solutions through Osyte.

“The core client problem that Osyte is solving today is liquidity management automation for alternatives and private market
investments,” explained Anselm, who serves as the company’s CEO. He noted that the company is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing trend of private market democratization, which has made private assets increasingly accessible to individual investors.

Joining Anselm in the venture is co-founder Sellappa Gopalaswamy, whose entrepreneurial background includes founding cloud-based companies Qloudable and Sysgain. This combination of investment management expertise and technical knowledge forms the foundation of Osyte’s leadership team.

The seed funding round was spearheaded by Moneta Ventures, based in Folsom, California. Additional investors included Six Thirty Ventures, Altari Ventures, Tacoma Venture Fund, and Sigmas Group Family Office, demonstrating broad investor confidence in Osyte’s mission and potential. As part of the investment agreement, Moneta Ventures partner Ashu Bhalla will join Osyte’s board of directors.

The company’s software platform is designed to modernize investment operations for professionals managing complex portfolios that include both liquid and illiquid assets. This comprehensive approach allows investors to more effectively manage their diverse investment strategies while reducing the manual workload traditionally associated with portfolio management.

The timing of Osyte’s funding coincides with a significant shift in the investment landscape, as private market investments become more accessible to a broader range of investors. This democratization of private markets has created increased demand for sophisticated portfolio management tools that can handle both traditional and alternative investments.

The platform’s focus on automating liquidity management for
alternative and private market investments addresses a critical need in the industry, where manual processes have historically dominated. By streamlining these operations, Osyte aims to help investment professionals make more informed decisions while reducing operational overhead.

The fresh capital will enable Osyte to further develop its technology platform and expand its market presence. The company’s solutions are particularly relevant in today’s investment environment, where portfolio managers increasingly need to navigate both traditional and alternative investment vehicles while maintaining efficient
operations.

This funding round represents a significant milestone for Osyte and reflects growing market demand for advanced portfolio management solutions that can handle the complexities of modern investment strategies. As the investment landscape continues to evolve, tools that can effectively manage diverse asset classes and market types become increasingly valuable to investment professionals.
