Virtual Healthcare for Dementia Patients Empowers Rippl’s $23 Million Funding

Seattle-based startup Rippl, which specializes in providing virtual health care for dementia patients, has secured $23 million in fresh funds.
Rippl aims to provide care beyond traditional medical settings, recognizing the potential for heightened distress and potential overzealous treatment in hospitals and emergency rooms for those with dementia. The platform offers virtual access to medical professionals, counseling support, and assistance in navigating care options and resources.
“Individuals impacted by dementia have long been neglected and underserved,” stated Kris Engskov, CEO and co-founder of Rippl.
Founded in 2021, Rippl secured $32 million in a subsequent funding round in 2022.
Rolling out its services in Washington in January 2023, Rippl has since expanded to Texas, Illinois, and Missouri. The latest funding will facilitate its expansion into California, Florida, and Arizona.
Rippl has forged a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and recently acquired Kinto, a Boston-based company providing coaching services for family caregivers.
Kin Ventures, based in Seattle, led the Series A round, with major investors from Rippl’s seed round reinvesting. These include ARCH Ventures, General Catalyst, Google Ventures, F-Prime, Mass General Brigham Ventures, and 1843 Capital.
